While every state in the nation has banned cigarettes in public (and heartily patting themselves on their collective backs), tribal casinos have thrived because of their “independent nation” status. They permit not only cigarette smoking, but have become great places to join with others in the “awful sin” and guilty pleasure of smoking cigars.
One such place that I like more than any other is the Snoqualmie Casino in Snoqualmie, WA. About 30 minutes east of downtown Seattle, and only about 15 minutes from anywhere on the “eastside”, it’s an easy drive and well worth it! Not only do they allow cigars to be smoked anywhere on the gaming floor (even AT the tables), but they have a dedicated cigar bar called “Lit”. The humidor room is well-stocked top rated Cigar Aficionado smokes from great brands; Rocky Patel, My Father’s Cigars, Padron, A.Flores to name a few. If you happen to gamble (I’m married to the blackjack ninja) you can even use your “points” to buy sticks.
While you can light up on the gaming floor or the lounge, I still feel like I’m annoying the crap out of others, which takes away from my enjoyment. Lit is a place where you can puff away, along with dozens of other cigar smokers, guilt free.
If you come by Lit sometime and see a guy with a laptop computer sitting at the far left side of the bar, come say “hi”.
That will be me…typing this!
